PRO PLAN +

Following a successful purchase on ClickBank, MemberMouse will receive two notifications: one via their instant notification system and the second as a result of the customer being redirected to the confirmation page URL. Since there's no way to predict which of these notifications will be received by MemberMouse first, we have built-in intelligence that will correctly create a new account regardless of which request comes in first. The customer will then be taken to the confirmation page setup in MemberMouse related to the product that was purchased. This will allow you to display specific messaging to the customer based on the product purchased and will automatically log them in.

Even so, there is a scenario that can occur when these notifications are received in close proximity to each other and server performance is slow. This creates a situation where the customer's account is in the process of being created at the same time that MemberMouse needs to look up the account in order to redirect them to the appropriate confirmation page. In this case, since the account is in the process of being created, the look up fails and MemberMouse doesn't know where to redirect the customer. This is when the fallback confirmation page is used.

Failing to look up the customer's account and find the confirmation page specific to what the customer just purchased, MemberMouse can redirect them to a fallback confirmation page where you can display a message informing them that their account is in the process of being created and that they'll receive a welcome email shortly. This will accurately inform the customer of the situation and keep them from thinking an error occurred.

(NOTE: If you are encountering customers directing to the fallback confirmation page on a regular basis, an upgrade to the latest MemberMouse version of 2.2.9 and above should resolve this problem.)

Follow the steps below to create a fallback confirmation page:

  1. Create a new page by clicking on Pages > Add New from the WordPress menu.

  2. Give your page a title that suggests the customer's order went through successfully. For example, Thank you for your purchase!.

  3. Next, put whatever content you want to on this page. IMPORTANT: Don't include any MemberMouse SmartTags on this page. Remember, the customer won't be logged in at this point so MemberMouse won't be able to process them.

At a minimum, we suggest that you include the following information:

    • Let them know that their order went through successfully and that their account is currently being created.

    • Let them know that they'll receive an email shortly which will provide them with their username and password so that they can log in. Read this article to learn how to create a welcome email.

    • Include the following text that ClickBank requires you to add to your confirmation pages:

Just a reminder that your credit card or bank statement will show a charge from Clickbank, or CLKBANK*COM rather than any reference to [Your company name here].

  4. Save the page.

  5. Copy the permalink for the page which you'll find under the page title in the upper left corner.

  6. Go to MemberMouse > Payment Settings > Payment Methods and scroll down to the ClickBank configuration form.

  7. Paste the permalink for the page you just created into the Fallback Confirmation Page field.

  8. Click the  button to save your settings.
